About cropping
Cropping trims an image down to the part you want — great for removing distractions, focusing on a subject, or fitting a required shape like a square profile photo or a 16:9 thumbnail. Use an aspect-ratio preset to keep the selection a fixed shape, or "Free" to crop to any size.
Like every Imagloo tool, cropping happens entirely in your browser — your image is never uploaded, so it stays completely private. Want a different size after cropping? Try the resizer or compressor.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping reduce quality?
No. Cropping just removes pixels outside your selection; the kept area stays at full quality.
Can I crop to a perfect square?
Yes — choose the "Square 1:1" preset and the selection stays square while you drag.
Do you upload my image?
No. Everything is processed locally on your device.
